Charles Darwin, founder of modern evolutionary theory, became a naturalist on a voyage around the world.

For mare magazine, I sought out and photographed places in South America where the young Charles Darwin made observations that would later prove fundamental to his theory of evolution. My photographs were published alongside passages from his travel journals.

The journey culminated in the Galápagos Islands, where Darwin came closer to what he called 'the mystery of mysteries' — the origin of new species.
